Karlslunde
Karlslunde is a little village 30 Km
south of Copenhagen In the old days there were farms and field here . Farmers
grew oat , wheat , rye and vegetables. Now there are mostly family houses
here and only a few farms.
There are app. 5000 inhabitants of Karlslunde.
As you can see on the map Karlslunde is quite close to Koge Bay . It is only
2 Km to the beach from where most of us live .there are not very many shops
around here : a little supermarket / grocerie a backer’s , a pizzeria , a
hairdresser’s , a library and some small firms .Karlslunde is close to everything
: s - trains every 10 minute to Copenhagen , highway E 55 to the rest of Europe
only 1 Km away and finally Copenhagen airport 20 minutes by car from here
. Karlslunde is as you can understand a lovely place even if it is sometimes
a bit too quiet for young people.
They old part of the school is from 1908 and other parts are from 1956 and
1972 this is from the old part for our youngest learners. We have our class
room in the modern part of the school.
Unfortunately we have no pictures of that.

VILLAGE POND
In the middle of our town there is a
beautiful village pond. There are ducks and small ducklings and the small
houses they are swimming around in the pond. The water is very dirty. Around
the ponds there trees, bot trees. Sometimes children are fishing, and the
old people are sitting there. And they look at the ducks.

THE CHURCH
The church in Karlslunde is very old,
it is 800 years old. In Karlslunde church there has been an old tradition,
that if a priest has wife, and the priest dies, the wife goes to the next
priest who comes. Every Sunday morning people go to church to service.

HOUSE
I live in a old house in Karlslunde.
My house is 214 years old. I have a big garden with flowers.I have a dog and
6 chicken.

SCHOOL
We are 325 children and 30 teachers
in our school. It is a big school. We have a schoolclub, too !!!!

SPORTSHALLS
We have two sportshalls in Karlslunde. It is beautiful for football. Martin
is playing football there every Tuesday and Thursday.
