Collège le Breuil |
I am going to describe my school… in brief ! ! !
First, it is a " young " rural school, it is quite small and
it is called " Collège le Breuil ", there are about 180 pupils .
There is also the old blue school which is still used for gymnastics, table
tennis, dancing and many other activities.
We have a very nice schoolyard with two playgrounds for basketball and handball,
and a jumping track with sand, a nice grass, a playground with some tiers
to see shows… and a splendid view on the woods !
Our school is original because it is not square or rectangular but it is
half-circle shaped which gives it a lovely appearance.
We have a class of " 3ème d'insertion " (called 3ème I), and not
every school has got one !
We also have a refectory or more exactly a cafeteria, an audio-visual room
with a very big screen, a room for " baby-foot ", a club where we
can listen to music . The history and geography teachers have placed some
things on show in a window, so we can see various expositions like in the
art room which looks like an aquarium, a greenhouse, or with less pretension
the pyramid of the Louvres with all its bay windows ! ! The computer room
is very interesting, we can use many computers.
There is also another building where some pupils can do manual work : doing
odd jobs, sandpapering, working on wood… in short a workshop where the school's
work of art has been achieved : TOTEM (Temps - Oeuvre - Traces - Espace -
Mémoire).
We can also take part in many activities such as :
The Forum of the book in St Etienne, in 6ème, where we
are amazed by a lot of books.
A training in Vercors, in 5ème, at the beginning of the
schoolyear, it is a real adventure during three days : we practise cannoning,
archery, climbing, hiking…

We can also discover a foreign country in 4ème and 3ème
, Germany, Italy or England, we are a bit older and better behaved, that's
great !
The video club for all the the fanatics : we have already
made various films like real professionals.
We mustn't forget the cross-country running every year
!
The European
Comenius project allows us
to work with pupils from Denmark and Latvia.
So , if you don't want to miss all that, come and join us ! We will give
